Development of an EPR Registry for Packaging in Indonesia to support the national Circular Economy Roadmap and waste management reforms.

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is seeking expert services for the development of an Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Registry for Packaging in Indonesia. This project is part of the 'InCircular' initiative, which supports the Indonesian Ministry for National Development Planning (Bappenas) in implementing the national Circular Economy Roadmap. The assignment focuses on creating a concept and strategy for a modern, mandatory producer registry to ensure a level playing field, data-driven fee setting, and effective enforcement of EPR regulations. The work includes baseline analysis, stakeholder consultations with the private sector, capacity development for public institutions, and demand-based advisory services. The project duration is approximately 23 months, starting in May 2027.
